Parallel Blue launches premium service for the private luxury lifestyle market as it eyes post Covid bounce back
Leading corporate events company Parallel Blue has announced the creation of a new division, ‘Parallel Platinum’. Focusing solely on organising and delivery of domestic and global private events, experiences and travel for high net worth clients, the new division will bring its 30 years of experience in the corporate sector to the private market.
Commenting on the announcement, Parallel Blue Managing Director Paul Martin said:
“While we have of course experienced a significant downturn in live events and travel generally, we are very confident that the market will begin to bounce back during 2021. Given both the excellent vaccination progress being made and the announcement of an official UK roadmap to ‘normality’ that was recently announced, we believe events and travel planning will now begin again in earnest. Starting with smaller domestic based group events in the summer, we then anticipate that larger events and overseas travel will be happening again towards the end of the year.”
He continued:
“Naturally we are fully prepared for this return within our existing corporate events arm but felt we should also ensure we are in a position to provide services to private clients as well. This follows considerable time spent working on our longer term strategy were we identified that breadth of offering is going to be vital in the post Covid world.”
Martin added:
“Since the first lockdown in March 2020 it’s been an incredibly tough time for our industry. However we always had the capability of delivering virtual events so this has naturally come to the fore and has allowed us to maintain a stable financial footing, while planning for the future. I am very confident that our industry will come back stronger and we will be in a great position to continue growing the business across a number of fronts.”
Parallel Platinum will be headed up by current Head of Events at Parallel Blue, Mark Harsant. Harsant has been with Parallel Blue for over 10 years and has a wealth of project experience, leading a wide variety of UK and International events over the years. While Harsant will retain his existing responsibilities, he will be now also be responsible for the development of new business and delivery of services for Parallel Platinum.
